Description	This four-way traffic light was manufactured by Krause-Hinds in 1952. It measures 27" x 48" x 27" (68.58 x 121.92 x 68.58 cm). The light hung at 193rd Street and Euclid Avenue in Euclid, Ohio. Although four-way traffic lights were less expensive than modern single-lane lights, which need individual poles and control boxes, they were not as efficient. Garrett Morgan (1877-1963) moved from Kentucky to Cleveland, Ohio in 1895, where he went to work as a sewing machine repairman. In 1923, Morgan patented the first practical traffic light.
