This title page of a 16-page 1863 pamphlet entitled 'The Loyalist's Ammunition' features an abstract scrolling design around the border. Some print from the first page is visible through the paper. The title sheet has an engraving illustration at the center, which shows a man holding an American flag, with barrels, an anchor, and a ship visible behind him. A woman sits at his feet with her elbow resting on a cornucopia. Above this image are the words THE LOYALIST'S AMMUNITION, and beneath the illustration: PHILADELPHIA: PRINTED FOR GRATUITOUS DISTRIBUTION 1863. The original work contains articles by Isaac Funk and General L.H. Rousseau, and was printed in Philadelphia by H.B. Ashmead. |
