Mrs. Minnie Damschroder, wife
of J. C* Damschroder, died at her
home on Ryer road northeast of
town, about 7 o'clock Sunday j
morning", after a long" illness,!
aged 56 years, 8 months and 7
days. She had been failing1 for
about ten weeks and passed away
peacefully.
The funeral services were held
Tuesday afternoon, October 25,
at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00���o'clock at Trinity M. E. church
in Elmore, her pastor, Rev. G, C.
Dibert, officiating and interment
in Union cemetery at Elmore,
Sabroske & Myers, funeral direc¬
tors of Elmore, were in charge.
The floral tributes were profuse
and beautiful, attesting the Jove;
and esteem in which she was held \
and the church was filled to ca-J
pacity with the many friends ardi
relatives of the departed. j
Mrs. Damschroder, nee Minnie.;
Schlegel, was born February 16, j
1882, on the farm on Ryer road
adjoining the farm where she
spent all her married life. She*
was married to John C. Dam¬
schroder February 28, 1900, and
went to housekeeping on the farm
on Ryer road where she lived the
rest of her active life and died
after 38 years of faithful service
to her family, her church and the
community. She was the mother
of six devoted sons, all of whom,
with the husband, survive: Les¬
ter of LaCarne, Clayton of Oak
Harbor, Lincoln of Elmore and
Walter, Roy and Dale at home.
Surviving also are one brother,
George Schlegel of Massillon; one
sister, Mrs. Clara Knapp of Buff¬
alo, and six grandchildren. j
Mrs. Damschroder found time
to engage in activities outside the
home and always gave faithful
service to every organization with
which she was connected. She
was a member of Trinity M. E.
church, the "For Others" class,
Elmore Chapter Order Eastern
Star, Elmore Grange and Rural
Community club.
