Rites Thursday
Funeral services for William H.
Dipner, 77, Rocky Ridge, were
held Thursday afternoon from the
Robinson funeral home and St.
John's Lutheran Church, Rocky
Ridge. Pastor John A. Palm of¬
ficiated. Burial was at Elmore.
Mr. Dipner died suddenly of a
heart attack Monday while shop¬
ping. He had been in poor health
for a number of years.
(He was born June 2, 1873 in
Posen, Germany, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Caspar Dipner. He came
to this county at the age of seven
and lived in Harris and Benton
townships. On June 9, 1898 he
was married to Anna Fisher. She
died in 1918. On August 28, 19ly
he was married to Anna Banky
Place. She died July 4, 1947.
(Surviving are: daughter, Mrs.
Ed Fillmore, Elmore; sons, Clay¬
ton, Rocky Ridge,, Oscar, Genoa
and Wilmer, Rocky Ridge; sister,
Mrs. Mary Bushman, Pemberville;
brother, John, Oak Harbor, 1Y
grandchildren and nine great¬
grandchildren. One son, Orville,
died in 1910.
