OAK HARfcOR, O., Sept. 12 A verdict of suicide by self- inflicted gunshot wound was returned by Ottawa Co unty Coroner Dr. C. R. Wood in the death of Milton Apling, 72, RD 1, Oak Harbor day. :> • •- ': • ''*' /
Mr. Apling, a retired farm¬ er, was found in the yard of his home with his rifle beside him. He died an hour later in Magruder Hospital.
He was a 50-year member of the Locust Point Grange and a native of C a r r o 11 Township.
Surviving are sons; Wilson, Ervin and Albert, all of Oak Harbor; daughters, Mrs. Reu¬ ben Fillmore, Port Clinton; Mrs. John Peters and Mrs. Mitchell Anderson, both of Oak Harbor; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, William, Fred, Clar¬ ence and Walter, all of Oak Harbor, and sisters, Mrs. El- wood Kleinhans, Port Clinton, and Mrs. Mary Franck, Oak Harbor, a '?'
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Robinson Mortu¬ ary, Oak Harbor, with burial in Rushau Cemetery.
