Murder at Elmore.
Tte body of J ohn_Buc_key was dis¬
covered in a taajmow in the barn on
the Langerman farm in Harris town¬
ship, near Elmore Monday. The body
was found by the owner of the farm
under a lot of bay. He says he knows
of no one being in the mow since the
hay was stored there.
Coroner Yeialej was notified and he
made an investigation. He found that
the man had received a blow on the
head with some blunt instrument
which caused his death The body was
not identified until Mrs. M. Mccarty
read of the finding of the body ia a To¬
ledo paper, She visited the Burman
undertaking establishment and identi¬
fied the body as that of her brother.
She said that she had not seen her
brother for two months, and the last
she knew vi him he was employed at
the Continental Sugar factory in Fre¬
mont. Previous to that time he was
employed hy one of the fruit compan¬

John Bnckey was about 01 years of
age. He was not married and made his
living as a laborer, working in various
places in this county. His funeral was
held Thursday morning from the Cath¬
olic Church at Genoa. Tbe body was
buried in the Woodville cemetery.
Sheriff Wirt, of Sandusky county, is
making an investigation, as is also
Sheriff Cover. It is believed that the
crime was committed near Elmore and
I the body taken to the Langerman barn
and bid under a quantity of bay. Mrs.
McCarty was surprised when told that
; nothing was found on his person by
which he could beidentified and is con¬
fident that her brother had some funds'
on his person when slain. It is not be¬
lieved that the murderers will ever be
pprehended.
