Charles L. Bier, 70, who spent his
entire life in the same Carroll-twp
farm home where he was born,
died yesterday at Park View Hos¬
pital in Toledo where he had
been a patient for 10 days. His
address was Oak Harbor Route 3.
His body is at Robinson funeral
home and will be taken at noon
Saturday to St. John's Evangelical
Lutheran church for services at
2 p.m. The Rev. G. F. Shoup will
officiate and burial will be made
in Union cemetery. He was a
member of St. John's church.
His wife, the former Eleanor T.
Schumacher whom be married
Sept 3, 1917, died Feb. 13, 1953.
Surviving are one son, Arthur W.
Bier, Oak Harbor Route 3, em¬
ployed at the Matthews Co.; two
grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and
William ;a half-brother, Oscar of
San Bernadino, Calif., and a sis¬
ter, Mrs. Ella Ernst of Arlington.
