Dear Cousins

                  Your kind letter came safe to hand, and afforded

us much satisfaction, for which please to accept our thanks;

the return of the gardener would be very agreeable to us, Indeed

his orderly conduct while with us, was such, as is rarely met

With, and his knowledge as a gardener was very superior to

any we have ever met with, In fact, he quite gained our es-

=teem, not only as a good gardener, but as a conscientious, worthy

man,  My father is waiting to know his determination, before

he engages another, and a line from either of you, informing

us will be very acceptable.  Cousin Thomas's Ideas respecting them,

accords, precisely, with the committee of friends, here, I yesterday

had some conversation, with John Cook, one of the Committee

who says notwithstanding all that they say, and all that they

have heard from Zoar, there is a large number of them set

out in ten days or two weeks, they had most of them good places,

and they are most of them much beloved, by their employers,

I have taken much pains to know this, and I find friends

seem quite sorry to part with them, However they are determined

to see for themselves, They look on Zoar to be the land of

promise, Baumlar their leader has so Infatuated them that,

they look on him as another Moses.  The woman we have is quite

a sensible well Informed female about 40 years of Age, she says, she

will not go until, the ninth month, by that time she says we

shall hear more fully. And should any thing occur we will

take it very kind if thee would just inform us of it, If it is not

inconvenient to thee.  I call'd and showed the letter to my Aunt H

who says she intends writing soon, she is very well, and her 

daughter Deborah, is also, doing very well, who was confined about

two weeks ago with a fine daughter, who she calls Hannah. I
