Description	These four flour sacks were produced by the Heabler & Heabler Flour Mill in Attica, Ohio. In 1860, Christian Link built the Attica Flour Mill near the site of a sawmill that was destroyed by fire in 1840. John Heabler and his brothers purchased the mill in 1862; the name was changed to Heabler and Heabler in 1899. It produced pancake, pastry, buckwheat, and graham flours and ground cornmeal. The flour sacks measure between 12" x 18" (30.48 x 45.72 cm) and 24" x 36" (60.96 x 91.44 cm). During World War I, the mill loaded a railroad car with 310 barrels of Pure Gold Flour, bought by the government to feed soldiers in France. Heabler and Heabler, like many other companies during the war, was required to sell 30% of its output to the government to help with the war effort. The mill operated until 1952, when it was sold to Warren Thompson. It shut down in 1970 and was razed in 2002.
