Cincinnati 27th Oct 1850
Dear Pa
Ma was very glad to receive your letter
dated the 20th as she was anxious about you. When
we hear from home I will write to let you know
Ma went to Morris Chapel on Sunday morning
and we all went in the evening They all went
out of the house and I fastened the door after
them and got out of the window. Ma
thinks that the preachcer is one of the best
she ever heard. Ma killed the ducks and
had some of the neighobors to tea Next Saturday
afternoon we are going to a party with the
Tabernacle Sunday school. We are to start
about one in the afternoon and sail
on the Miama canal, spend awhile in the
fields and come back and take supper
in the church. Ada and I are also invited
to a party by one of the little girls at
the Sunday school. Ma says that we are all
very good children Pa please let me know
if my writing is good enough to have the
book to write my compositions in as I want
to keep them all Ma regets [sic] very much
that she has not kept hers. They are going
to have a celebration at the George street
sunday school and Mr Conway wishes
me to speak. Ma has not seen Mr Myler
since I wrote scince [sic]. Mr Flora has moved
into Mr Jenkin's house and Ma wants to
know if you think it [carrot] any [above line] use for her to ask for
the money he promised you. Mamma
says she is going tomorrow morning to
Fulton to Mrs Haniden to look for the
money she owes. Ma is so pleased with
