Title	Eyes for the Navy World War I Documents

Description	These items are from the "Eyes for the Navy" program, which distributed donated binoculars to the Navy during World War I. The first item is a check from the treasury department to George F. Anderson of Sandusky, Ohio in the amount of one dollar for his donation and a certificate of thanks. It is 8.5" x 3.25" (21.59 x 8.26 cm). Next are a letter and certificate from Franklin D. Roosevelt when he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy, thanking Anderson for his donation of one pair of eyeglasses. Two other official letters thank Anderson for his donation. The letters all measure 8.5" x 11" (21.59 x 27.94 cm).
