Description	These two items, a pewter tankard and plate, were used in communion services at the First Baptist Church in Euclid. The tankard is 5" x 11" (12.7 x 27.9 cm) and the plate is 9" (22.86 cm) in diameter. The First Baptist Church in Euclid organized in 1820 with seven members. Under the leadership of Deacon Luther Dille, it grew to forty-three members in its first year. In 1845, the congregation began work on a new church, which took several years to complete. By 1893, the congregation had grown so much that a new church was needed.
