Description	Edward Stanley Wrona registered for the draft in 1940. Included here are Wrona's notices of classification, or draft cards, for 1943-1945 issued by the Mahoning County Local Board #8. They indicate that Wrona was classified 3-B and then 2-B by the local board. These items measure 2.5" by 4" (6.35 by 10.16cm). Wrona took his pre-induction physical examination at the Erie Depot in Youngstown on May 17, 1945. He was declared physically unfit and exempted from serving in World War II. Edward Stanley Wrona (1911-1946) was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Polish immigrants. He married Pauline Ostrowsky in 1935. They had two sons: Edward (born 1936) and Thomas (born 1943). Wrona worked at Republic Steel.
