Description	Two photographs show Eastern Ohio Traction Company interburbans. The first photograph, which measures 6.75" x 5" (17.15 x 12.7 cm), is an interurban car that was chartered from Hiram to Akron for an intercollegiate oratorical contest in 1902. The second photograph shows an Eastern Ohio Traction car on its way to Garrettsville, Ohio. It measures 6" x 8" (15.24 x 20.32 cm). The Eastern Ohio Traction Company was part of an interurban electric railway system serving the greater Cleveland area in the early twentieth century. The rails were first laid in the 1890s and the interurban passed through Chagrin Falls and Welshfield. The line was extended to Hiram in 1902 and Garrettsville in 1903. According to one newspaper account, children under age nine could ride free, but dogs had to be muzzled and pay a fare of 25 cents. The final segment of the line, projected to conclude in Youngstown, was never built and the last run on the line was in December 1914.
