Description	This is the first edition of The Anti-Saloon Campaign Manual for Ohio, which was published in May 1914. This booklet discusses the dry campaign in Ohio, including which counties prohibited the sale of alcoholic beverages at the time. The booklet contains 48 pages and measures 4.25" x 6" (10.8 x 15.24 cm). Eight pages are included here. The Anti-Saloon League was founded in Oberlin in 1893 by Howard Hyde Russell. In 1909 the organization moved its printing operation, American Issue Publishing Company, to the small village of Westerville, Ohio. From the headquarters in Westerville, anti-alcohol information in massive quantities rolled off the presses, onto trains and across America. A decade later the Anti-Saloon League's printing and lobbying efforts paid off when the 18th Amendment made prohibition the law of the United States in 1920. It was repealed in 1933 with the passage of the 21st Amendment.
