Description	This photograph shows the crossing signal tower for the Cleveland, Akron and Columbus Railroad and the Toledo and Ohio Central Railroad at the northwest edge of Centerburg, Ohio, circa 1895. A second photograph shows the signal tower circa 1900. Both photographs are 6" x 4" (15.24 x 10.16 cm). The railroad began as the Cleveland, Mt. Vernon and Columbus Railroad. The line was completed through Centerburg in the early 1870s. In 1906 it became known as the Cleveland, Akron and Columbus Railroad and later the Baltimore and Ohio. It was the primary passenger line until 1949, when passenger services on this section of the line were discontinued. In 1981, the line in Centerburg was discontinued and the rails were removed.
