Description	Vice President Calvin Coolidge can be seen placing a wreath on the Soldiers' Monument at Otterbein College in this 8.5" by 11" (21.6 by 27.9 cm) image. Also pictured are Anti-Saloon League President Ernest Cherrington, Otterbein President Walter Clippinger, and Carmi Thompson, former Ohio secretary of state and gubernatorial candidate. On May 22, 1922 Westerville hosted Vice President Calvin Coolidge. He was originally scheduled to be in Columbus only long enough to give a speech at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. However, due to the efforts of local postmistress Mary E. Lee and her political and personal ties to President Warren G. Harding, Vice President Coolidge also agreed to re-dedicate the Soldiers' Monument at Otterbein College.
