Description	This article in the Osborn Local in Greene County reports on the November 1900 election in which Ohioan William McKinley was elected president of the United States. Titled "McKinley Cheered on his Way to Vote" the article emphasizes McKinley's ties to Canton, Ohio. The paper is four pages and measures 18" x 24" (45.72 x 60.96 cm). The article was included in the time capsule that was placed in the cornerstone of the Greene County Courthouse in 1901. In January 1901, the building commission overseeing the building of the new Greene County Courthouse asked the Masons to take charge of ceremonies to commemorate the laying of the cornerstone. A "deposits committee" was formed to collect the items to be buried in a small copper box under the cornerstone during the ceremonies on March 15, 1901. The box remained buried until February of 2001, when it was recovered and opened for the centennial ceremonies on March 15, 2001.
