Description	These four letters between the War Department and Dr. Glen Biddle deal with Biddle's application for a remount stallion to breed horses for the military. A blank application is included. His application for 1940 was rejected, and there is no record of him ever receiving a remount stallion. The letters are one page each and the application is four pages. The documents are 8.5" x 11" (21.59 x 27.94 cm). Biddle (1889-1958) was a veterinarian in Bryan, Ohio for 46 years. After graduating from the University of Toronto, he practiced in his hometown of Wauseon, Ohio before moving to Bryan in the early 1920s. Biddle, who bred saddle and racing horses, was a founding member of the Williams County Horse Breeders Association and served as its secretary.
