Description	This newspaper article, titled "Welcome! Nation Greets the UCC" appeared in the United Church News in April 1990 and tells of the move of the United Church of Christ (UCC) headquarters from New York City to Cleveland on January 2, 1990. The UCC offices are located in the Ohio Bell Building in the historic Gateway neighborhood. The article includes the caption "The signs they are a-changing" along with the photograph of the new sign being put up at the building. United Church News measures 11.5" x 14" (27.94 x 25.56 cm). The Congregational Christian churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Church merged to form the United Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio in 1957. The Evangelical and Reformed Church merged as a whole denomination. Each individual Congregational Christian local church voted whether to join in the merger. The General Synod is a governing body of the national level of the United Church of Christ; it meets every other year.
