Description	Five photographs show airplanes that were produced by the Weaver Aircraft Company (WACO) during the 1920s. The first photograph measures 4" x 5" (10.16 x 12.7 cm), while the others are 8" x 10" (20.32 x 25.4 cm). Clayton Bruckner and Elwood Junkin, two friends from Michigan, formed an airplane-building partnership in the early 1900s. During a stopover in Lorain in 1919, the two met Charlie Meyers, a barnstormer, and George E. "Buck" Weaver, an airport operator. Weaver secured financing to create the company. Weaver left WACO in 1921; Bruckner and Junkin became the primary manufacturers. They temporarily moved the business to Medina before settling in Troy, Ohio in 1923. Junkin died in 1926, but WACO continued to prosper, and in the late 1920s it was the world's major aircraft producer. In 1947, WACO ceased commercial aircraft production to focus on producing airplane parts. In 1959, WACO stopped production entirely.
