Know all men by these presents that John H
James and his wife Abbe B. James of Urbana, Ohio
for and in concession of the sum of one dollar
to them paid by the Trustees of the Urbana University
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, do give
to the Urbana University, a corporation duly created
and organized under the laws of the State of Ohio, the
following parcel of ground, containing ten acres
lying near the South West quarter of the Town of
Urbana, more particularly described as part of the
farm called Dounovan, an bounds as follow
Begin in the east line of the South east quarter
of Sec. 29. Farm S. Rays 11 [illegible] (the line between
John H. James & John A. Meed, at a stake in the
vale descending from Ward's Park) 14 p 17 [illegible] [14...illegible subscript] feet from a
large Burr oak, thence S. W. 231 feet to a
stake in the club of track of Mad River & Lake Erie
Rail Road. Feet from a white 6 aisle diameter
which is in the line, thence , with the clubs
of the Rail Road to 6 feet to a stake: thence east
54 poles to a stake in the east line of the Sec. 29.
thence North with low line 46 pole to the beginning

Hold to the Urbana University in perpetual use.
