Description	This souvenir brochure commemorates the presentation of the Army-Navy "E" Production Award to Shellmar Products Company of Mt. Vernon, Ohio in 1944. The brochure includes the program and photographs from the presentation ceremony. It is 20 pages long and measures 8.5" x 11" (21.59 x 27.94 cm). The Shellmar Products Company was recognized for their special packaging products for K-rations for soldiers during World War II. The company developed a process that allowed color printing on plastic and cellophane. During World War II, industries that participated in wartime production were eligible to receive the Army-Navy "E" Award for Excellence in Production. The award ceremony was elaborate, with high-level officers present and airforce fly-overs provided.
