1. Obedience to the laws of the Univer¬ sity, and the authority of its Officers.
2. Diligence and faithful application to study.
3. Regular and punctual attendance on all College duties.
4. To be in their respective rooms during the hours of study, and after 9 o'clock at night, unless leave of absence shall have been obtained.
.'>. To retire to reet at or before 10 o'clock nt night, and in no case, except in sickness or special permission , to have lights burning in rooms after 10 o'clock at night.
(]. To keep their rooms neatly and in good order; and to avoid sweeping into the Halls, or throwing from the windows ashes, water,' or filth of any kind.
7. To occupy rooms in the College Build¬ ings, unless by permission of the President; and not to remove from the particular rooms assigned them, e.xcept by the same permis¬ sion.
8. To attend College Examinations.
9. To take such part in College Exami¬
nations as shall be assigned, and to speak only such matter as shall have been previ¬ ously approved by the Faculty.
10. To abstain from smoking tobacco in the College Buildings.
11. To respect the. Sabbath and religious institutions.
12. To attend reverently the worship of the Chapei, and public worship twice on the Sabbath, including the Lecture in the Chap¬ el on Sabbath afternoon.
13. To avoid profanity, obscenity, and vulgarity.
14. To observe polite and decorous de¬ portment toward each other, and toward all other persons.
15. To observe cleanliness, both as it respects person and dress.
16. To give testimony when called upon by the Faculty, concerning irregularities and transgression of College order.
17. To be responsible for damage done to their respective rooms, and for general dam¬ age done where the perpetrator cannot be discovered.
