Description	Otis W. Brown (1851-1936), a successful farmer near Centerville, Ohio, kept these journals from 1891 to 1899. Most of Brown's journals deal with daily life on the farm, business activities, and family affairs. However, he also writes about hunting and fishing near the Little Miami River and a trip to the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893. The two journals total approximately 567 pages and measure 11.5" x 7.25" (29.21 x 18.42 cm). A selection of six pages is digitized here, including entries for August 6, 1891, November 11, 1891, November 7, 1892, September 30, 1897, December 15, 1897, and ending with December 12, 1897.

Elizabeth Ross Helen Norton Here, Augustes Himes here after Hogs. Thursday August 13 clear and dry Myrtle and Mable Watkins here. I at Mothers and Elasha Rosses went to see my land in Warren Co.
