Description	This 8.5" x 11" (21.59 by 27.94 cm) photograph depicts Veterans Village at Otterbein College, also known as Trailerville. The twenty-four trailers pictured were originally used by army enlisted men during World War II but were used as married housing beginning in 1946. The units were removed in 1954 due to the their deterioration and the declining number of married students. Apartment buildings were built to serve married students afterwards, but proved unsuccessful and were razed. Following World War II (1941-1945), the GI Bill of Rights supported veterans continuing their education in college. The growing number of married students encouraged many college campuses to install trailers for married student housing in the post war period. Thousands of post-war marriages resulted in a "Baby Boom."
