Description	This Midget Ford racer was built and designed by Wilford Shuman of Carey, Ohio, while he was stationed in Hawaii during World War II. He used scrap parts to make the car, most of which were from a Ford truck. It has a dodge Ram hood ornament. When Shuman returned to Carey after the war, he drove the racer in local parades. The racer is 9' long x 4'3" wide x 3'2" high (2.7432 x 1.3 x.95 m). Shuman (1913-2000) was born in Carey, Ohio. He married Colleen Hutchinson on April 13, 1941. He served as an ordinance tech sergeant with the Ordinance Division of the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 and was stationed on a repair barge in Hawaii from September 1945 to January 1946. Upon his return to Carey, he opened the Shuman Brothers Garage and retired from there in 1975 after 30 years. He also served on the Carey village council for 10 years.
