Description	This eighty-page composition book from 1907 belonged to nine-year-old Katherine Lucile Hageman. Included are an essay entitled "Physiology" and a note from Katherine: "Do not steal this book my honest lad, 5 cents it cost my Dai'd." The first three pages are included here. The book measures 6.25" x 8.75" (15.88 x 22.23 cm). Hageman (1898-1969) was a lifelong Lorain resident and Oberlin College graduate. After college, she worked for more than thirty years in Lorain as an insurance agent. She traveled in Europe often and was an avid book collector. Later in life she purchased the house next to her own and used it to store and display her personal book collection.
