Description	In 1905 the Lima Automobile Club saw the need to educate people about the development of highways and road etiquette, and published this pamphlet. It is 32 pages and measures 4" x 6.75" (10.16 x 17.15 cm). Two thousand copies were printed and distributed to horse and automobile owners. A brief general history of road construction and maintenance and the development of wagons more suited to human transportation than farm work, constitutes the first section. A lengthy quotation from George W. Lattimer, chairman of the Joint Good Roads Committee of the Ohio State Board of Commerce and the Ohio State Grange, exhorts all citizens to be aware that better roads are needed for both movement of farmers' crops and travel between towns. The author foresees that "road improvements will be no exception to the law of evolution, and before another decade rolls around there should be no better roads in the world than you will be riding over in Allen County." Statistics show that total spending on automobiles was almost doubling every year and support the prediction that cars "will supplant the horse for pleasure driving." Interactions between horses and automobiles ("road etiquette") are also addressed in the pamphlet. Most significantly, readers are urged to remember to "KEEP to the RIGHT, and TURN to the RIGHT."
