Description	These two photographs, one from circa 1890 and a second from circa 1900, show Township Hall, on the corner of East Main and Clayton street in Centerburg, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1893 by Hilliar Township on the public square. On the ground floor were meeting rooms for both the town and the township; the village fire equipment and offices were housed there until 1950. In 1945 the front room of the ground floor was given to the Centerburg Public Library. The village moved their offices in the late 1960s and in 1988 the township moved to different offices also. In 1988 the library expanded into all of the ground floor. The second floor of the building was used as a community meeting room and theater. In the mid 1940s to the mid 1950s the Seville Movie Theater occupied the second floor for the sum of $7.50 per month. There was an attic fire in January of 2000 and the building was renovated. The Centerburg Public Library and Local History Center continued to operate in the ground floor of this building. These photographs measure 6" x 4" (15.24 x 10.16 cm).
