Description	On September 10-14, 1888, the 22nd Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) was held in Columbus, Ohio. The G.A.R. was founded in 1866 in Illinois and is comprised of Civil War veterans. Pictured is the locomotive (the "General) that was stolen on April 12, 1862 by Andrews' Raiders. There were 22 raiders, all from Ohio, who participated in this raid which was aimed at isolating Atlanta, Georgia by disrupting the Western & Atlantic Railroad. James T. Andrews devised this raid, and he and all other participants were caught. 8 were hanged by the Confederates and 19 received a Medal of Honor.
