Description	Suffragist Susan B. Anthony wrote this letter to the Ohio Woman Suffrage Association convention in Chillicothe in 1888. She encourages the delegates to "carry the agitation of our question into your 27 Districts." Her reference is to the question of whether women should be allowed to vote. The letter is four pages and measures 5.5" x 8.5" (13.97 x 21.59 cm). The Ohio Woman Suffrage Association (OWSA) was established in 1869. The organization worked closely with local and national suffrage groups including the National Association for Woman Suffrage. OWSA disbanded with the passage of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote in 1920. Many of its members joined the League of Women Voters, which was established at that time.
