Description	This four-page letter dated January 29, 1904 is typed on National Woman Suffrage Association letterhead. Writing to Frances Casement in Painesville, Ohio, suffragist Susan B. Anthony thanks her for placing Anthony's History of the Woman Suffrage Movement in the local library. Anthony writes about the activities of Ohio suffrage leader Harriet Taylor Upton and remarks on the "good many young people" who will be able to take over the fight for suffrage (voting rights). The letter measures 8.5" x 11" (21.59 cm x 27.94 cm). Frances Jennings Casement (1840-1928) was born in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Painesville Academy and Willoughby Female Seminary. Her father Charles Casement supported abolition and women's suffrage and encouraged Frances to be active in social causes. Frances Casement established the Painesville Equal Rights Association in 1883 and became involved in the Ohio Woman Suffrage Association, serving as its president from 1885 to 1888.
