Description	Two photographs show Pymatuning dam and lake, which stretches across the northeast Ohio border. Pymatuning Lake was created in 1931 for flood control and to provide water for Shenango and Beaver valleys in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. The dam, which was completed in 1936, created a lake that contains 7,000 acres of water with 70 miles of shoreline. Pymatuning Lake became known as recreational area for its fishing, water sports and other activities. The name comes from a Delaware Indian word meaning, "the crooked-mouthed man's dwelling place." The photographs measure 8" x 10" (20.32 x 25.4 cm).
