Description	A snapshot and formal portrait shows Ouida M. Okey in her United States Marine Corps uniform during World War I. The first photograph measures 2.25" x 3.25" (5.72 x 8.26 cm); the second is 4.25" x 6.75" (10.8 x 17.15 cm). Ouida Mabel Okey was born in Graysville, Ohio in 1893. She graduated from Woodsfield High School in Woodsfield, Ohio and attended the Marietta Business College. Okey was one of two hundred women to be chosen from 5,000 female applicants to serve in the United States Marine Corps during World War I. She enlisted on October 22, 1918 and was discharged in 1922.
