Licking County Naturalization Declarations of Intent

              DECLARATION OF INTENTION. 
State of Ohio, Licking. County, ss. 
Be it Remembered, that on the Sixteenth day of 
May, A. D. 1876, 
Martin Bangert. an Alien and Native of 
Baden in Germany, 
personally appeared before me, Geo M Grasser Judge 
and ex-officio Clerk of the Probate Court in and for said County, and 
declared on his solemn oath that he first arrived in the United States in 
the Month of July, A. D. 1869, and that it is his bona fide 
intention to become a Citizen of the United States of America, and to 
renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Po- 
tentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to Frederick 
William, Grand Duke of Baden, whose subject he now is. 
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and 
affixed the Seal of said Court at the Court House in 
Newark, Ohio, this 16th day of 
May, A. D. 1876.
