Sunday P.M
To the Fulkerts
I was glad to receive your letter on the
18th. Today is Sunday and I try to get all of
my letters answered on that day: so here I go.
You asked me how the girls are down here, well I
haven't been to Fayetteville yet, but what I have
seen & heard, isn't very encouraging. Frankly 75%
of what I have seen on the post look like bags
one of our Sergeants says, "you have to go to
Greensboro, N.C. If you are going to town after women."
that is about 90 miles north west and you have
to have a weekend pass.
This army life sure is an experience as Howard
O. says. When I was home a year ago I wrote
some to a fellow in the army and I couldn't
think of anything new to write, but I could
write now until my fingers get tired.
I try to write as fast as I can and
that is why my writing and punctuation
is so poor.
We got to read most of the "Life" magazines
around here I don't remember of seeing that one though
