No 35, Wall street, Morris Robinson, President, is prepared to receive applications for assurance in thia ably managed and prosperous Company. This Company, it is believed, secures to the assured more benefit than any other Life Insurance Company. While no liability is incurred beyond the premium specified in tho Policy, the whole profits are once in every five years divided among the assured. On 31st January last, the close of the first live years' business, it had accumulated a surplus fund of $550.I7U, from which after making a reserve of about JJ200,000, it made a dividend of 62 per cent, of the premiums paid, to the assured. Dividends thus made arc endorsed on the Policy, payable nt its expiration. Tho premiums received in six months from 1st February applicable to 2d dividend amount to gK'JtibO 65. The aucccss which this Company has already had, warrants the conclusion that tho dividends in future will be periodically larger, and which ought to be an inducement to persons wishing Insurance, to connect themselves with this Company. Public J Economy for the United Statea, by Calvin Cnlton ; 1 vol. flvo. " Accustomed as the writer has been to read everything that has been written on this and kindred subjects, he has no hesitation in saying Mr. Colton has in his Public Economy shed much new light upon the errors, false assumptions, and sophistries of the so called " Free Trade" writers. Indeed, his book has gone so thoroughly into everything connected with n system of " Public Economy for tho United States," that he occupies a ground from which he cannot he driven. Whoever wishes to inform himself upon these mailers cannot do without Mr. Colton's book. If we are to have political economy treated aa a science and taught in our schools, it is to bo hoped the Public Economy of Mr. Colton may find its way among the scholars; for then no evil need bo feared from the sophistries of the English and French free trado writers." This Company, it is believed, secures to the assured more benefit than any other Life Insurance Company. Colton may find its way among the scholars; for then no evil need bo feared from the sophistries of the English and French free trado writers."
