  Thou wilt receive pr Capn Delano two pair of Carriage wheels which I hope will acnswer they expectation. Obed Kempton says he has taken particular pains with them and put on two coats of pain. his bill with a statement of his account I shall enclose that they may be enter'd upon thy Books.  The balance due him ws twenty one Dollars 83 Cents, his Receipt for which is enclosed, thy father thought it would be best to have the hoops put on the hubs before they were sent, to prevent thier splitting. I accordingly employ'd Ezra Smith to do it.  Russell Davis has sold the horse he had of thee and now wishes to take up the Note which thou holds against him; if thou wilt send it by Capn Delano or some other conveyance, I will collect and forward the amount or pay it as thou mayst direct.  Thou hast perhaps heard of Joseph Hoag's return from Novascotia, he has been at Nantucket more than a week, and I suppose is now at Falmouth or Sandwich and I believe is expected here sometime this week.
  Since my last letter to thee I have concluded to undertake the study of the French language, so that my time is much taken up. The School for our class (which consists of Ten) begins at half after five in the morning and holds till 8 o Clock.
