I am highly gratified in learning by Jas Sing, who is here, that Sister Hannah, had so favorable a passage, to Woods hole & there met an opportunity to Bedford without detention, her presence must be very satisfactory to dear Mother. Could I have known she would so soon have been at New York, my terrying there to have had her company & afford her my assistance would have rendered my passage home far more agreeable than it was. I however rejoice that she is now with Mother, please to give my love to her. Jn Macy who saild from Phila two days before I came away did not arrive here till yesterday, he purposes going directly back and has pickd up what strained Oil, there is upon the Island pretty much that I can't advise any additional quy to what I wished sent by Bunker, say 4 ton on our acct.
