I soon expect my Brother Samuel will settle at Canton in the practice of law. He is now with Mr. Hammond & will be admitted the first of August. We wish it to be understood that he will go there. He will make a good lawyer & good citizen. It is probable you have heard that many friends in England had contemplated coming to this country. I think some of them might be induced to join you in the improvement of your water seats. The military road from Charleton on the Ohio to Detroit will likely run near Kendal. The communication from New York will pass that way & that in a few years these & other advantages which that country possess ought to make the place flourish & the land high.
