Respected friend,
I recd thy letter, informing
me that thou hadst landed some plaster for me
at Middletown. I shall take one ton myself ac-
cording to agreement, & I think it likely that
some of my neighbors will take some more.
Several of them, however, had supplied them-
selves before thy letter came to hand. They gave but
10$ a ton, but I believe there is no more to
be sold. If thou shouldest give directions for the
rest to be sold by some person in Middletown,
I presume it would go soon. I shall endeavor
to get mine home as soon as I can find
an opportunity. I will endeavor to pay thee
before long. I expect to be at Hartford my-
self this fall, & if I should not have a con-
venient opportunity to send it I will hand it
when I go. From thy friend etc
