I will thank thee to present the above acct to G E and request payment, he will make an objection, that he sent the balance, which he did in a counterfit note on the Philada Bank and which I returned him, there is a circurys twice attending it which is not the most favorable on both Earl & William Fogle who brot the letter, in the 10 mo last W Fogle brot me an open letter (that is no Seal to it) containing 100$ from G.E. 100$ to go to his credit and the 2$ to the credit of Chs Rose, on opening the letter and discovering the money, not doubting but that it was good I at the instant omitted to pay but little to the contents of the letter till after Fogle left my store, I very soon sent the 100$ to the Bank of Pennsylv for deposit, but recieved for answer that the note was
