Esteemed Friend
Thy 2 letters (the last dated 4 miles east of Pittsburgh) arrived at hand. We wrote a few lines on the 18th [illegible] to Wm Logan; receipt pr 30 packages of goods to Allen & Grant requesting them to arrange with them for a Waggoner to carry on the goods to Kendal without delaying if they can procure the Carriage on reasonable terms. we have been waiting with the 3 packages that the Waggoner could not take viz, a Hogshead Containing a B C, a very large box & a Mill box containing Tea & a pair of boots & the residue of the Crockery Ware etc. these will go on with a box contianing a shearing machine for which we have recd a bill of Lading per J. T. Walden of New York where tis last article arrives. after which we will forward the receipt of the wagoner. Invoices, etc
