Full Text	A-73-2 page 1 Mr Thomas Rotch Boston 17th Feby 1802 Dr Sir The amount of Sales of 35 boxes Candles sold Wm P Smith pr acct rendered you 15th May last became due 14th Inst. I sold Mr Smith Candles to amount of about $1800 which sum fell due at the time; & from the extreem scarcity of Cash, he could not conveniently meet the demand in order therefore to secure the debt have taken his note of hand on Interest payable in sixty days with a good Interest, & the money at that time will no doubt be punctually paid.
