Dear Friend,
As thou hast been frequently the Companion of my mind, since I was to kinnly entertained under thy roof, and more especially to, since being informed of the decease fo Dear Sra, I was led to much affection and Sympathy to Salute thee with a few lines, not doubting but that it must come near thy Life, finally in this world to part with so Beloved a Daughter and kind a Friend, in whom every Virtue seemed to be United that could make her dear to a tender Mother, and which Rendered her truly Amiable to all that knew her, And although I am very sensiable, that thou cannot but be Sad and Sensiably Effected, with thy so great loss, yet Consider, my dear Friend, in order to Mitigate thy Sorrow, that thy Loss, and our Loss is her Unspeakable gain, and while I am writing in tears of Sympathy, doth not my spirit. Echo a Language from her, as with Angelick Voice, saying soothe Dear Mother and dry up thy tears, for Joy, Inexpressable Joy, Encircles my Mansion, and where I am expectantly Waiting
