Respected Friend
I hope thou will excuse the liberty
I here take, in requesting thy interferance on my
behalf that I may bring Edward A. Bagley to Justice
as I have, found, yes repeatedly found, that no fur-
=there confidence is to be placed in him and that
nothing short of coersive measures can bring him
to the feelings of a Man, therefore I wish thee
to direct some Attorney to commence a suit
against him without delay as he has forfeited
all claim to further forbearance and for this
purchase I annex a Copy of the [illegible] against
the said Bagley.
Thy assured frd. Thos Rotch
For Value received I promise to pay to
Thos Rotch Or Order Three days after date the
full sum of One hundred and seventy Nine
Dollars & 92/100 with Interest from the date
without defalcation.
