Our Crop of Corn is nearly got in & is very abundant, The Potatoes, the food of the Poor are very good & in great abundance, which I think will preclude the necessity of geting Supplies from your Continent next year. 1 potash 4 0/pbl dull at present. Pearls 6 of ab 5 /pbl
Fine White Spermaceti Oil attained & free from foot – 4 / a 4/6 a Gallon
Good Common Whale Oil free fm footings £ 30. 34 pr Tun Duty on Oil is now 31/6 pr tun
Cod Oil for Curriers use in demand at £ 40 at 45 pd
Spermaceti Candles- 4 to the pound 2/81/2 duty 11 ½ pr advatoum
Whale Bone & Finns your small sort not very saleable but if they were 6 or 7 feet long wd readily sell.
Rice- none at market – last price was 40/abt 5 pr l
Deerskins in hair- the light small sort unsaleable but good large heavy skins are worth 5/ a 8/pr skin
Tar maybe call’d 22/9 pbble –no Pitch or Turpentine at market,
Barel Staves in Great plenty, but New York were lately sold for 5 guineas turn over
