Philip Ettleman this day has made an agree
=ment with Thomas Rotch to dig a Well upon
the Hill North east of the Orchard where the said
Thomas may point out the place, and for
the first Thirty two feel deep seven feet
wide or square in the clear payment is to
be made therefore in Forth bushels of Wheat
but if Water should be come to in sufficient quantity
that may be durable in Twenty and then payment
is to be made in Twenty Two bushels of Wheat
Should a solid quarry of Rocks become upon
before getting these depths, then payment is
to be made in proportion to the depth in a
due proportion of the Wheat as above specified
and as a further confirmation of the above agree
=ment we have here unto set our hands on seals
this Twenty Sixth day of the ninth month 1821
