Esteemed friend Thomas Rotch
I wish to Inform thee
our circumstance, in respect to keeping thy sheep
on shares. as I am verry much on a stand
to know what to do with them. It appears to me
that it will cause discord--and will be a verry
hard task for me to fullfill such an obligation
if they are left on my hands. I am reflected
on and all most abused for complying to such terms
I believe if thee will consider the thing, & wishes
peace and quietness abroad, as well as at home
thee will take them back, on these conditions
viz I am willing to give up the sumering, & wintering
of them, and more if required to get clear of such
a bargain that threatons disunion and ruin of what
little we have in the world---we are just
a begining in the world and live on rented lands
and Land lord has forbid keeping sheep on
his farm, & my circumstance will
not admit renting a place for them else where
as we get nothing before hand & no more than will supp-
ort a family of small children by our labour in such
a cituation and anything that will tend to dim
-inish or take our labour out of our hands must
undoubtedly cause us to suffer I am with
respect thine Jesse Parker
PS Arvine arrived here this morning & found the sheep
in good order here & proceded to Josiah Bundy
